Earlier this year, our Young Centre Stagers performed in their very own shows...
'THE GOBLIN NEXT DOOR'!

The entertaining tale told the story of an obnoxious, noisy goblin who moves next door to the gentle folk of fairyland, causing mayhem and trouble.

Could he be persuaded to leave? Or did he see the error of his ways and turn over a new leaf?

 CUE THE MUSIC

Centre Stage produced a variety show of musical entertainment that involved every group at Centre Stage - that's over 250 students!

We performed two shows in one day at The Pentland Theatre, Finchley and was our first 'Full School' showcase since 2012!

EX STUDENTS DOING PRETTY WELL!

What a few months it has been for a couple of our ex students!!

Marcus Fraser kicked off his
WEST END debut alongside
SIR KENNETH BRANAGH and
ROB BRYDON in The Painkiller, as part of the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company season at London's Garrick Theatre...

and Vangelis Polydorou stormed through to the LIVE SEMI-FINALS of
THE VOICE under the guidance of
BOY GEORGE!

Well done chaps, we're all very proud of you!
:-)

A 'SHAKESPEARE' FESTIVAL OF PLAYS

To mark the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, the Upper School students performed three of his most
famous plays in rep. fashion.

In one of our strongest and most succesful 'Fesival of Play' seasons ever, these plays were dramatically modernised and revamped for a 2016 audience - making them as current and relevant for today, as they were for peasants through to Royalty,
all those generations ago.

lead by an industry professional.

The workshop taught punches, slaps, kicks, knees, hair pulls and choking, plus a specific class given in Quarterstaff fighting - all to give that authentic feeling once put to the stage!

PALMERS SCREAM!

The Centre Stage Staff and Students took to Broomfield Park this
Halloween Evening to take part in the very first
'Palmers Scream' Festival!

All dressed in spooky outfits and performed at two stations laid
out for the local community.

The Dance Department taught members of the public dance moves to 'Thriller' and 'The Time Warp', whilst the Drama Team, assisted by a few Senior Students, read and reenacted ghost stories under the eerie atmosphere of candle light and a willow tree!

Current and former students also ran a 'make up' station too, supplying many local children with scary facepaint for the evening!
