History of CentreStage
The Centre Stage School of Performing Arts was established in 1999 by Carole O'Shea with a mere 50 pupils. Today Centre Stage offers training to in excess of 300 students attending various part-time courses. We are proud to offer today, the same team of dedicated staff that started the first day of term in September 1999, enabling the teaching ethic of the school a unique and much needed continuity.
In that time a number of productions and projects have been undertaken, all receiving critical and enthusiastic acclaim. Whether it be from our regular cabaret evenings, our annual festival of plays or week long runs of challenging pieces of musical theatre in local venues, we have always aimed to maintain an exceptionally high level of quality in the delivery of our projects. This along with the warm welcoming, family feel to the school has enabled us to mark ourselves out against our contemporaries as the leaders in the field.
