Primarily working as an actor, he has sustained a progressive career for over twelve years with featured credits including The Jury, Down To Earth, Eastenders, Casualty, The Vanisihing Man, The Bill along with a variety of leading roles in British films, (such as Beach Boys and Madly Yours). He has also added a number of directing credits to his CV whilst at Centre Stage, including some of his own work, such as 'Left Luggage', 'Travel Sickness' and 'Overdue', however, most notably perhaps the production of 'Pass it On'', which was successfully performed with the students from Centre Stage in the regional final (at The Lyric Hammersmith in June 2006) of the Shell Connections Theatre Festival. He has also established himself as a regular guest tutor at a number of Theatre Schools in recent years, most notably perhaps at the highly acclaimed and accredited Mountview Theatre School, enabling him to develop his teaching further, which can only benefit the students of Centre Stage in the long run.

As Artistic Director of the school it is Steven's role to create, plan and oversee the schools artistic development in association with the other members of staff at the school with the aim of the long term enjoyment, fulfillment, development and progression of each individual student and indeed the school itself.
