UpStaged Theatre Company can now confirm that it’s next production will be WE'LL MEET AGAIN - A World War Two Revue.

 

It will be part of the annual Camden Fringe Festival and is UpStaged’s 13th year and 15th show at this festival to date. UpStaged is open to all our Senior students (Yr 11 plus) who are looking to experience more challenging roles and especially to those who wish to further their training and gain valuable external performance experience.

 

Upstaged productions provide students with the opportunity to work in professional London theatres and have received excellent reviews for their Edinburgh and Camden Fringe Festival productions.

WE'LL MEET AGAIN

A World War II Revue

 

"Never was so much owed by so many to so few"

 

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two, ‘We'll Meet Again’ recounts the major events of the deadliest conflict in history.

 

Key moments and stories of hope, love, fear, survival and bravery are bound together using documented commentary, memorable wartime songs, short scenes and poetry, as well as real-life letters from the soldiers on the front line and the loved ones left at home.

 

In this World War Two Revue, UpStaged Theatre Company pays tribute to those that fought, worked and helped to survive… and remembers all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

 

This new play will appeal to a wide range of people for many different reasons. Our aim will be to portray the major events of the war through various theatrical mediums such as narration, re-enactment, songs and scenes so that no matter what your existing knowledge is of the period, you will leave entertained, educated and moved.

REHEARSALS

 

Play rehearsals will start next term and run during the normal Saturday Class times throughout the Summer Term. We will have two extra rehearsal days after we have broken up for the summer and before we move into the theatre.  These days will be confirmed nearer the time.

PRODUCTION FEE

 

This year’s production cost will be £50 per performer. This ‘Show Fee’ includes: All Administration fees, Camden Fringe Festival entry fee, 3 day Theatre Hire, Crew fee, Scenery, set, props & AV fee, All advertising and marketing costs and extra rehearsal venue hire.
