Welcome to Centre Stage
Based in Southgate, North London Centre Stage is an Innovative,independent Performing Arts school offering equal opportunities to the complete beginner right through to the young professional performer. Taught in a supportive, fun and creative environment, the disciplines of acting, singing and dancing bring young people together in a vibrant and joyous community to explore the magical world of performance. No matter how large or small the goal, at Centre Stage we will drive you to surpass even your own expectations.
Congratulations to all the students who performed in Honk! at The Wyllyotts Theatre in February. It was a wonderful and very professional production. Rehearsal photos can be found on the events page, under productions.
Our Upstaged production of The Penelopiad, performed at The Courtyard Theatre, was another great success. This production featured our older students. We are delighted to be taking this play to the Edinburgh Festival in August.
Centre Stage is delighted to have received the rights to perform the smash West End Hit Musical 'Hairspray'. A workshop will take place on Sunday 26th April from 2.00pm to 6.00pm, led by an original West End Cast Member. Auditions will take place during the following week, by appointment only. This production will be performed between 28th & 31st October (half term) at Queenswood School, Brookmans Park and is open to students between 13 and 19 years. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings.
Our Summer Holiday 'Hairspray' Course will be held from Monday 24th to Friday 28th August at St Monica's School. This workshop is open to all students between 8 & 16 years. For more information please call the office.
